Nice destination on the Werder Island. In summer and autumn you can sit outside nicely. Overall, a relaxed atmosphere with a good price-performance ratio.

Top address for schnitzel. Also ideal as a stopover for a bike excursion.

A large restaurant with many rooms for family celebrations of all kinds. A spacious outdoor area with a beer garden and terrace and lots of games for children. The restaurant has a long and eventful history. The good kitchen offers northern German dishes with a light local spirit, but also a European accent. Recommendable.

Chic ambience and friendly waiters ... but wait over an hour after ordering for the food though is inside as well outside unoccupied times half the seats can not be! Schnitzel, even if they are fresh, do not take so long with all love! The food on the whole delicious, the hunter sauce something very thin, almost the consistency of apple juice that existed as a drink.

The schnitzel are always great. A man will also be satisfied. With the service there is nothing to complain about always nice and friendly. How good that they have it back and hopefully they have weathered the crisis well.

We were very rude, we clearly have Corona anyway, I think you can't lose the friendliness towards the guest. We stood at the entrance for 10 minutes and two waiters walked in and out several times. A star is 1000 times more than I would ever give. Absolutely rude treatment. Here sales are more important than customer security! Incomprehensible behavior! The manager's behavior was absolutely impossible (extremely aggressive appearance). We will never visit this location again in this life. I can only receive anyone visiting this location never!

I've been here before, we finally made it. Super nice staff, quiet atmosphere, delicious food? German cuisine for everyone ... especially vegans will find it here ... Veganes Knipp madness. I can just recommend it to everybody!!

Great location but a bit outdated. Could be sooo much more.

Dog and human friendly. Quaint architecture and nice garden for alfresco eating. Good selection of regional dishes and excellent wines. Be aware that only German Bank cards are accepted so bring cash if you are a foreign visitor.

Owners don't care about making excessive noise between 22:00 and 01:00 in the morning. Problem is this restaurant is next to a hotel in a very rural area of Bremen. Owners of Der Kuhhirte go out of their way to intentionally disturb the people in the hotel by playing their obnoxious music at full volume even though the guests in the hotel want in the hotel want to simply get some sleep. Hotel manager attempted to resolve the issue but was powerless and indicated the Polizei would most likely not arrive until after 01:00 in the morning. Horrible attitude of the owner of this establishment only carrying about the people that are paying for loud music and not about the other paying customers that were trying to get a good nights sleep in the hotel next door. Not even an offer of an apology! If you experience a problem when staying at the hotel next to this establishment recommend you call the Polizei directly in order to get them to turn of the crappy loud music with constant base drum going thump, thump thump after 22:00.
